Since 1858, Antonio Mattei has been producing Italian biscotti and confections in their historical bakery and shop located on Via Ricasoli, in the heart of the old city of Prato, Tuscany. The bakery has been run by the Pandolfini family for 3 generations. Throughout Tuscany, these biscotti are considered the standard-bearer. Their size, texture and taste are synonymous with quality and tradition. Made only with flour, farm fresh eggs which impart a golden yellow color, sugar, almonds, and pine nuts. Traditionally enjoyed at the end of a meal with a glass of Vin Santo, they are also perfect with coffee, gelato or panna cotta.
