France - Red Wine - Stronger, More Full-Bodied and Tannic - $20-$30

When we think about full-bodied French wines, the mind obviously goes towards Bordeaux and Rhone wines. Esteemed bottles from those regions are not uncommon on wine lists around the world and so popular for good reasons. We would also recommend paying special attention to the lesser known reds of southern France: for example, Mourvedre from Bandol, or Carignan from around the Sud-Ouest. We focus our selection on wines that are in 'ready-to-drink' condition, however, many wines under this umbrella could stand be decanted prior to consuming.
