Italy - Red Wine - Stronger Tannins, More Earthy Profile - Under $20

Trying to organize a wine region defined by nuance and individuality is difficult and foolish, but not necessarily undoable. If you came into the shop and asked for a big Italian wine, we would probably guide you towards Barolo, Barbaresco, Brunello, Taurasi, Amarone, Aglianico del Vulture. If not those wines, wines that drink like that. While not really like one another at all, these wines do share that commonality of more time in oak, stronger tannins, and deeper fruit, whether it be on the earthier or jammier side.
